The chair frame is made of powder-coated steel, making it corrosion-resistant and rust-proof. The colors of the seat shell and chair frame are coordinated.

The chair also features floor protectors to protect sensitive surfaces. Recycled plastics are used in the production of the Alpena chair to keep its ecological footprint as small as possible.
